More little things.
I am not sure why I offered to do it, but at a meeting on a Tuesday morning I volunteered to make some little kono for a gathering the next evening.
Luckily I had a supply of flax that I had already prepared some time ago. However, even though it was just a matter of dampening the harakeke before it was ready to weave, making 20 little kono takes a whole lot longer than you expect it to.
The whole exercise was a very satisfying experience, especially because of the way the kono were used and presented as part of saying thank you to a group of people.
