Hieke Number 5 – A work in progress

“Silently, one by one, in the infinite meadows of Heaven. Blossomed the lovely stars, The forget-me-nots of the angels.”  Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, Evangeline, 1847.

This quote touched a cord with me and brought to mind my Brother as I thought about the stars of Matariki.

  

 

 

 

 

 

       

 

These two images are of tests designs that were discarded. The star looked far too big. I also decided that I didn’t like either of the two different braids.
 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Almost complete
