Even though it was a self imposed deadline with no\u00a0impact on anyone else or any commitments, it is still a little disappointing that I didn’t complete all five hieke.<\/p>\n

I lost control of my weaving space for a while and\u00a0it continues to be a battle to claim room for my weaving. \u00a0I did manage to move the chainsaw and a couple of tool boxes out of my patch. \u00a0However there are still an array of chairs that seem to have made their way into the area. \u00a0This includes a rocking chair\u00a0that arrived in the bottom of a suitcase from Denmark in the 1960’s \u00a0that was re-assembled and used for many many years. \u00a0It is now in need of new cushion covers – another project waiting for me.
\nThere are also a couple of boxes of vintage material and several bags of knitting wool waiting for their new\u00a0home. \u00a0Several old old suitcases that ‘just need a bit of work on the leather and they will be as good as new’ have also appeared.
\nAnd there is a set of bunks waiting to be transported over the hill to the Wairarapa.<\/p>\n

The weather has not been helpful over the last few months either. \u00a0When it is fine and good for harvesting harakeke, I have other things that have to be done. \u00a0When I get the time, the weather is wet and or windy.<\/p>\n

I decided to use up some left overs from the other hieke to make a small one.
\nI had enough whenu \u00a0and aho that I had dyed brown to put together a child sized one.
\nI also had a lot of neinei left after completing the hieke I made for Paul<\/p>\n
